The Sammy Atomiswave

The Atomiswave was Sammy's version of Sega's Naomi hardware. It is not as powerful as a Naomi, but it is equal to a Dreamcast. Because it was not as powerful as a Naomi, It cost less to produce and was cheaper for arcade owners to buy. In the end, the  Atomiswave was made for arcade owners who wanted most of the power of the Naomi but with the standard Jamma connection. The Naomi used the JVS connection type.
